Description

Noah Beanbag – Digital Pattern for Children Ages 2 to 10

Sewing the Noah beanbag creates a cozy spot for listening to audiobooks, reading picture books, and taking little breaks after a busy day for kids. The PDF pattern shows you, step by step, how to sew a soft children’s armchair with a separate insert and a washable cover.

The Noah Beanbag is a digital pattern with detailed PDF sewing instructions. You’ll receive the pattern in A4 and A0 formats for printing at home—not a ready-made beanbag. The A0 file is also projector-ready, so you can project the pattern directly onto the fabric. Depending on the filling, the finished beanbag measures approximately (H/W/D) 95 × 45 × 27 cm and is suitable for children ages 2 to 10. Thanks to the separate inner lining, the cover can be removed and washed—which is handy if things get messy while painting, eating, or playing.

With a difficulty level of 1 out of 5, Noah is a beginner-friendly sewing project. You’ll sew a larger children’s beanbag chair, but the illustrated instructions will guide you step by step from cutting the fabric to the finished, filled beanbag.

What is the Noah beanbag?

The Noah Beanbag is a sewing pattern for a soft children’s chair that you can make yourself. It’s perfect for storytime, listening to audiobooks, short breaks, cuddle time, or cozy corners in the kids’ room. Depending on the filling, Noah can be softer, more stable, or more flexible. This way, you can decide for yourself whether your child should sink in more or sit a little more upright. Thanks to its size, Noah is child-friendly and versatile. It fits in the kids’ room, the living room, a reading nook, or—depending on your choice of fabric—even on the balcony or patio.

Who is the Noah Beanbag sewing pattern suitable for?

This pattern is ideal for beginners and hobby sewers who want to sew a large but easy-to-make project for children. With a difficulty level of 1 out of 5, Noah is easy to make, even if you have little sewing experience. Want to sew something that not only looks beautiful but will actually be used in the kids’ room? Noah is the perfect choice because you get to choose the fabric, filling, and small details yourself, and you can customize the beanbag to suit your child, their room, and your daily routine. Noah also makes a great gift: for a newborn, a birthday, Christmas, or a new kids’ room. By choosing the fabric, colors, label, or storage pocket, you can create a personalized kids’ chair that won’t just be unwrapped but will actually be used later on.

Can you wash the beanbag?

The Noah beanbag is sewn with a cover and a separate insert. This is helpful for everyday family life because you can remove the cover and wash it. If there’s still paint on your hands after arts and crafts, a snack gets spilled during a storytime, or the beanbag gets dragged around the kids’ room every day, you don’t have to clean the entire beanbag. Just remove the cover, wash it, and then slip it back over the insert. The connecting loop between the insert and the cover helps keep the two together better during use.

What are the dimensions of the Noah beanbag?

Depending on how much you fill it, the finished beanbag measures approximately 95 × 45 × 27 cm. The actual shape and comfort depend on how soft or firm you fill Noah. For children ages 2 to 10, Noah offers a cozy place to sit, lounge, read, or relax. With less filling, the beanbag becomes softer and more pliable; with more filling, it becomes more stable. This way, you can adjust the seating comfort to suit your child and your specific needs.

What fabrics go well with the Noah beanbag?

For Noah, fabrics that suit the setting and the desired feel are ideal. Teddy fabric or plush make the beanbag especially soft and cozy. Corduroy adds visible texture and warmth to the children’s room. Canvas, sturdy cotton, or durable decorative fabrics are well-suited for a lively family life.

For balconies, patios, or more demanding applications, you can use outdoor fabrics or coated materials. These are a good choice if Noah will be used outdoors frequently or if you want it to be particularly easy to care for.

What details do you learn while sewing?

With the Noah beanbag, you’ll be sewing a large but beginner-friendly project. The instructions also include tutorials to help you with specific details. You’ll learn how to sew a connecting loop between the inner lining and the cover, sew on a label neatly, attach Velcro, and sew a slip pocket. These details make the beanbag more practical for everyday use and give you practice for future sewing projects.

What’s included in the Noah beanbag sewing pattern?

The eBook includes the pattern for the Noah beanbag in A4 and A0 sizes. You can print the A4 file at home or have the A0 file plotted. The A0 file is also suitable for use with a projector. The detailed, illustrated PDF sewing instructions walk you through every step, from cutting the fabric to the finished beanbag. You’ll also find tips on fabric selection, filling, care, and assembly. Also included are 5 supplementary tutorials: A brief sewing glossary, how to create a connecting loop for the inlay and cover, sewing on a label, attaching Velcro, and sewing a pocket.

This product is a digital sewing pattern with PDF sewing instructions. No ready-made beanbag will be shipped.
