Bags and Seams Design is a pattern label from Switzerland. Here you\u2019ll find patterns for bags and accessories, as well as sewing courses for bags, featuring detailed, easy-to-follow instructions that make sewing easier\u2014whether you\u2019re just starting out or have already completed many projects. <\/p>

It’s important to me that you don’t sit in front of your sewing machine wondering what to do next, but that you know exactly what to do. That’s why I place a special emphasis on clear explanations, easy-to-follow steps<\/b> ,<\/b> and patterns that are thoroughly tested before publication.<\/b> <\/p>

Hi, I\u2019m Sarah, and I\u2019m the founder of Bags and Seams Design. I\u2019m a mom, a coach, a cat lover, a seamstress, and completely addicted to sewing bags. I\u2019ve always been creative, but my greatest passion is sewing bags. After many years of sewing experience, test sewing, and selling bags and children\u2019s clothing, I began developing my own patterns in 2022. Today, these patterns are turned into tutorials that motivate and support you\u2014and show you that sewing bags is just so much fun! <\/p>

    I’m “ambivert” (I didn’t even know that term until recently)<\/i><\/b>That means I\u2019m equally introverted (I LOVE sitting alone in my sewing room and just pottering away for hours) and extroverted (concerts, workshops, people\u2026 totally my thing!). That\u2019s why my hobby, combined with the classes, is totally my world! I draw strength from both! <\/p>\n

    Even as a child, I was featured in two creative books<\/i><\/b>Creativity was, so to speak, in my blood from the very beginning\u2014so I was already \u201cprogrammed\u201d for it in my mother\u2019s two books. <\/p>\n

    Sewing was never part of the plan<\/i><\/b>And then came the moment when I held my first, hand-sewn bag in my hands….the rest is history! It\u2019s precisely for this feeling that I run my business\u2014and I\u2019d love to share my hard-earned knowledge and experience with you!<\/p>\n

    British humor, please\u2014the drier, the better!
    <\/b><\/i>Laughing and having fun together is very important to me. I love dry English humor, which I got to experience regularly at stand-up comedy shows during my nearly 6 years in England. And I\u2019m also great at laughing at myself! <\/p>\n

    I\u2019m outgoing, but not shy<\/b>When you meet me for the first time, I\u2019ll probably give you a hug right away and tell you my life story. That\u2019s just how I am. Understandably, this is too much for some people, and as I\u2019ve gotten older, I\u2019ve tried to approach situations more sensitively. Speaking on camera, however, is a whole different story. It took me a very long time to get over my fear of it, and it\u2019s still not one of my favorite things to do.  

    I’m a total perfectionist<\/i><\/span>It was sewing that finally taught me to let things go sometimes\u2014or to accept that one crooked seam in the pocket. Okay, \u201caccept\u201d isn\u2019t quite the right word\u2026 \u201cnot losing much sleep over it\u201d might be more accurate\u2026But you\u2019re the one who benefits most from this trait\u2014in my classes and my sewing patterns!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
